Job Description:

- As part of the Network Team, also be responsible for managing smooth
optimization and tuning to multiple Cisco and other network appliances.

- Under general direction of the Network Infrastructure Manager, the
candidate will perform highly complex duties in the design, development,
installation, and integration of network appliances and architecture.

- Contributes strategic vision and serves as the top-level contributor and
lead for the most complex IT Infrastructure initiatives.



Position Responsibilities:

- Implement vulnerability remediation, risk management solutions, and POAM
solutions

- Evaluate, design, develop and maintain data networking and
telecommunications systems (hardware and software) for Client

- Optimize network topologies and site configurations.

- Plan and conduct installations, transitions, conversions and cutovers of
network components and capabilities.

- Deploy and support network security solutions (Firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPN,
Gigamon) to protect network perimeter and provide secure access to internal
resources.

- Analyze network characteristics (e.g., traffic, connect time,
transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput), troubleshoot problems
and recommend procurement, removals, and modifications to network
components.

- Implement security patches and secure configuration baselines based on
USGCB and DISA STIGS.

- Conduct network and security assessments to troubleshoot and optimize
network performance and design.



Required Technical Experience:

- 3-5+ years of experience in Cisco Networking, vulnerability remediation,
and Wireless and Security solutions.



- Experience setting up Cisco IOS Switches and Routers, ASA Firewalls,
Cisco Wireless Controllers and WAPs.

- Demonstrated experience with complex multi-site network troubleshooting,
multilayered switch environment, VPN technologies, and implementing network
monitoring.

- Deep understanding of TCP/IP concepts, IPSEC, switching and routing
protocols.

- Experience with third party network analyzers and management tools.

- Proven implementation and understanding of current WAN topologies.

- Troubleshooting connectivity and latency issues traffic over MPLS and T1
circuits

- Experience with Microsoft DNS/DHCP Server administration



Desired Certifications:

- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA R&S/Security)

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Routing & Switching)



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of related IT and network experience.
Additional years of IT experience is acceptable in lieu of a Degree



SECURITY CLEARANCE:

US Citizen or GC holders only



Must be eligible to obtain a US public trust clearance
