Senior Test Manager
Columbia, SC 6 months + Phone & Skype Market rate *NEED GC / USC* *A Test Manager with 10+ years of experience in Performance Engineering/Performance Analysis (not just the usual QA),* The Senior Test Manager will direct the QA functions of Medicaid IT Services and provide supervision to QA Managers and Specialists for all phases of planning and execution of functional and interface QA acceptance testing. Job duties will also include directing the implementation, enhancement and application of quality programs and the quality of released products and all supporting product and operational documentation. Team members are expected to contribute with minimal supervision and be self-motivated. The project demands individuals who are strong collaborators, who want to make a positive contribution to the State of South Carolina, and can understand top-level goals and objectives and drive toward them. Experienced leaders with a proven ability to transform organizations, processes and information technology are ideal fits and experience with Medicaid and/or large transformative information technology projects (especially in health care) are desired. Candidates who enjoy innovating across a complex, change-oriented environment while working with a motivated team will find this position attractive. *REQUIRED SKILLS* &bull 10+ years’ experience in the performance analysis or performance engineering field &bull Must possess a strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture and technologies including web, web services, distributed and mainframe databases, mainframe and messaging layers. &bull Experience in mainframe and distributed application performance testing &bull Excellent verbal and written communication skills. &bull Ability to make decisions at the appropriate time &bull Experience reviewing business deliverables and providing feedback and direction &bull Experience assessing risk to schedule, cost, or quality on project and testing engagement &bull Experience preparing and managing the project testing schedule &bull Experience preparing and facilitating the implementation of test plans &bull Experience managing defects &bull Hands-on experience with performance testing requirements, preparation, execution, and analysis &bull Must be familiar with real-time, user-facing testing methodologies and approaches. &bull Must be familiar with batch or background testing methodologies and approaches. &bull Must also have a strong understanding of the monitoring solutions and KPIs used to determine used to determine availability and performance of these technology stacks &bull Must be able to supervise QA team and show leadership skills &bull Must be able to create and validate load test scripts in at least two or more of the following protocols: HTTP, SOAP, AJAX Click and Script, ODBC, Terminal Emulator, Visual Basic, .NET and Java &bull Must be able to perform in-depth analysis of load tests both in real-time during test execution and in post-run review to determine test validity, discover the root-cause of any failures, and report on any performance issues or defects &bull Impeccable integrity &bull Any experience with the following systems, applications, tools: Cúram Software, Windows 2000 / 2003 Server, Red Hat Linux, IBM WebSphere XD/ND, IBM DB2 distributed and mainframe v9.x, SQL Server 2005+,HP suite of products specifically Performance Center 11.5x, HP Diagnostics (.NET and J2EE), Quick Test Pro and HP Quality Center *PREFERRED SKILLS* &bull Curam experience &bull Medicaid eligibility system/business operations experience. &bull Familiar with Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) &bull Familiar with Medicaid Enterprise Certification Toolkit (MECT) &bull Commercial insurance and/or health care data experience &bull Programming knowledge is a plus &bull Public sector experience is a plus &bull Project Management skills are a plus &bull Public sector experience is a plus. &bull Experience with Software development and implementation methodologies including waterfall and agile &bull Understand the challenges and strategies to effectively implement performance testing in an agile development environment &bull Any experience with the following systems, applications, tools: Cúram Software, Windows 2000 / 2003 Server, Red Hat Linux , IBM WebSphere XD/ND , IBM DB2 distributed and mainframe v9.x, SQL Server 2005+,HP suite of products specifically Performance Center 11.5x, HP Diagnostics (.NET and J2EE), Quick Test Pro and HP Quality Center. *REQUIRED EDUCATION* A bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field. *REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS* Certification and/or training CSQA or BABOK or automated testing tool are beneficial. -- *Please only reply to my official ID sg...@sagetl.com <sg...@sagetl.com>* Sam (Saurabh Gaur) Sage Group Consulting Inc.
