*Title: SAS Programmer*

MUST HAVE SKILL - SAS Programming (including SAS macros)

HIGHLY WANTED SKILL - Mainframe tools – JCL, MVS /ISPF

*Principal Accountabilities:*

•Creates and executes complex SAS programs for commercial products and
consulting studies. Utilizes advanced programming languages and techniques
for statistical applications development and study delivery.
•Contributes to the technical design, development and implementation of
complex statistical studies.
•Collaborates with technical and product support areas to ensure the
programs are accepted in Production Turnover.
•Provides input and estimates for technical requirements for development
projects.
•Demonstrates an understanding of IMS programming standards and testing
practices. Provides programming and analytical support for research
projects and client deliverables.
•Requires innovative thinking on conceptual products and services,
state-of-the-art statistical programming knowledge, and independent
personal development in new technology.
•Mentors staff on best practices, presents at technical conferences,
participates in technical users groups.
Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:
•BA/BS in a Computer Science or related discipline with at least 5 years of
related professional experience (of which at least 4 years consisted of
programming experience with an emphasis in data analysis, manipulation or
statistical application design)
•Experience with statistical programming software, as well as a knowledge
of statistical design and methodology. Advanced SAS programming skills in a
mainframe environment and/or UNIX, NT and Windows.
