Task Description:  The key objective of RRP is to provide a unified system
that is integrated into the IRS’s modernized Infrastructure for the
detection of fraudulent returns and refund fraud schemes to ensure timely
issuance of refunds and credits that are legally due to filers, while
preventing issuance of refunds and credits that are not legally due to
filers.



In addition, the Internal Revenue Service is expanding the RRP through a
Restart Release Plan.



Duties:

·         The RRP AutomatedTester is responsible for participating in all
test activities for RRP Releases.  Duties include:

·         Defining automation strategy and applying appropriate automation
technologies

·         Developing and maintaining test automation frameworks, solutions
and automated test scripts.

·         Defining and enforcing standard automation test processes and
deliverables.

·         Completing testing life cycle activities and deliverables, on
time, within budget, and with high quality



REQUIRED SKILLS:



Please note these are the top technical skills that the Buyer feels a
candidate MUST have. General knowledge of basic office software such as MS
Office Suite as well as good communications skills are a given.

A minimum of 5 years’ hands-on test automation experience

Strong knowledge of the various software development life cycles and
testing methodologies with a detailed understanding of automation,
regression and performance testing tools, plans, and test execution.

Demonstrated ability to design automated tests and scripts.  Test
automation scripting experience should include automation test design,
framework design, heavy scripting experience.

Experience using a variety of test and defect management tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication, effectively communicating
issues and resolutions to both management and development teams.



NICE TO HAVE SKILLS



Please note these are nice to have skills. It does not preclude a candidate
who does not possess all or some of these skills from the selection process
but this could be used as a differentiator between candidates:

Prior IRS experience and, especially, an active MBI, is a plus

Strong oral and written business communication skills desired

Knowledge of IRS business systems and data, is an extra plus
