Please share me the profile asap as this is a very hot requirement. *Senior Sterling Engineer/Developer Sunnyvale, CA* *18+ Months* As a senior software engineer of back-end systems, you'll have the opportunity to design the next generation advanced platform for Global eCommerce. This position will be responsible for designing, developing large-scale software applications and also serve as the technical guide for the development teams working on the platform. You will be helping this business unit to achieve the following objects: 1. Development and execution of a global strategy for e-Commerce. 2. Establishing cross-functional and cross-border relationships designed to accelerate and broaden our growth in the global online channel. 3. The creation of technology platforms and applications that can be used effectively in every Walmart market. *Position Description* System/Requirement Analysis, Design and development (60%) 1. Serve as a technical lead for architecture, design and interface decisions related to next-generation, global Web platform. 2. Assess, recommend, build and integrate with best-of-breed, off-the-shelf commercial and open-source software components. 3. To meet business needs, review and recommend technologies from global software providers, open source as well as in-country specialized products, for inclusion into the platform. 4. Work with key members of the management team to define and drive technical strategy and architectural direction for the eCommerce platform 5. Review and provide guidance to eCommerce initiatives in various markets(countries) 6. Drive the design methodology of the software development process and ensure adoption within technology partners 7. Provide guidance and technical help to the team members in backend technologies such as inventory and item caching, order optimization, order fulfillment, transportation, inventory management to introduce to the Global eCommerce platform. 8. Provide guidance in back end Supply Chain & Logistics, Fulfillment systems, 9. Recommend engineering best practices, including use of java design patterns, code reviews and automated unit testing 10. Collaborate, communicate with different teams, and triage technical issues across teams. Partnership with Lines of Business/Partners (20%) 1. Collaborate with product and project managers as well as business to define product features, design deliverables and project estimates 2. Talk to the business to understand business and technical requirements 3. Translate business requirements and product vision into application architectural designs. 4. Support Business requests for investigation and analysis 5. Collaborate with third party implementation partners (ISV) to review the deliverables, define and enforce standards. Research and innovation (10%) 1. Research technology trends and apply the results to solve business problems 2. Develop solution prototype and be able to demonstrate value proposition of the solutions to a wide audience Ongoing Support & Maintenance (10%) 1. Provide support in troubleshooting / investigations pertaining to the order management, fulfillment systems 2. Respond quickly to critical requests Minimum Qualifications *Functional and Technical Competencies:* 1. Experience working in eCommerce industry managing high volume applications 2. Expertise in application development with IBM (Sterling) Order Fulfillment Suite. 3. Experience in XML, XSD, SOAP and REST Web services. 4. Familiarity in web technologies like JSP, Ajax, and JQuery is a plus. 5. Expertise in at least one application server; Apache and/or JBoss. 6. Subject matter expertise in building large scale retail B2C web applications using: a. Supply Chain and Logistics Systems b. Order Management Systems c. Configuration Deployment Toolkit d. Inventory and Pricing e. Commerce Platforms (e.g. ATG, Sterling Selling Suite, WebSphere commerce) f. Caching technologies (Couchbase) g. Database technologies – Oracle (Cassandra, Mongo DB, Mysql is a plus) 7. Comprehensive SDLC experience including: a. Strong design skills – use of UML, patterns. b. Agile and waterfall implementation principles and practices. c. Use of version control management such of SVN, CVS, or perforce. d. Production environment deployment and maintenance. 8. Ability to analyze and design data model. 9. Solid hands-on understanding of DB for the Web environment. 10. Performance tuning and optimization for scalability and high availability. *Interpersonal Competencies:* 1.
