VERY URGENT AND IMMEDIATE NEED *Need Only US Citizen and Green Card* Job Title: Hadoop Developer Location: Cary, NC Duration: 12+ Months Contract *Job Summary: * Responsible for the design, development and implementation of applications following the full systems development lifecycle (SDLC). *Typical Experience: * *Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. 5+ years of related work experience.* *Solid background in Java /Scala in Hadoop for data ingestion and data transformation.* *Prior experience with leading design, development, and implementation of java applications is required.* *Experience with Hadoop, Data transport, Spark, Hive, HDFS.* *Familiarity with data access using HBase and Hive Familiarity with Shell scripting to port to Scala * *Strong experience with ELT, specifically around data wrangling and transformation.* *Any prior experience with Microsoft Azure and SSIS is a plus.* *Functional Responsibilities: * Responsible for the analysis, technical design, development, and implementation of software applications. Balance business requirements with technical feasibility and set expectations on new projects. Recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Review functional specifications, create technical design and technical specifications, and oversee code development and unit testing activities. Develop code, create test transactions and run tests to find errors and revise programs. Perform defect analysis and debugging of computer programs. Analyze and initiate configurations and other changes within the system per user business needs. Analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flow charting, perform coding, test/debug programs. Test solutions and ensure it meets specifications. Present and validate solution with user. Proficient and experienced in large scale implementation of enterprise solutions. Majority of interaction is with application development teams, some communication with business partners may be required.
