It just seemed to me the language and sentiments were deliberately over the
top, therefore making me believe the person who wrote this was being either
ironic or satirical!

However. if you are right, John, then I think this individual seriously
needs help!! Perhaps a couple of years in a mental health sanatorium would
do the trick!!

Assuming he isn't joking, John, these sentiments bring to mind a quote from
Ghandi when he came to Britain and was asked by the press,

"What do you think of Western Civilization?"
"I think it would be a good idea!", replied Ghandi.

Regards,

Steve.

I really doubt it Stephen. Americans are very arrogant. The ones on this
list aren't. But the average guy on the street is. They are so full of
themselves it is to the point of being sickening. Even though this incident
cost the lives of thousands of non-Americans, the attitude is still against
the world. The way people here are acting and speaking, it is almost to the
point of Nazism.

What is sickening is the increase of advertisements with flags and "God
bless America", etc in them. I see businesses with decals on their doors
with flags and patriotic statements on them. The Nazis did this too.
"Kauf nicht bei Juden!" or "Deutsches Geschäft". Buy American or buy from
me because I wave the flag is the same thing, just a different angle. As if
by waving the flag, I feel in order to be a patriot, I must buy your
products. Why not fly the flag of every country who lost citizens in the
attack and bless them too?

And who knows if the government isn't behind this attack in the same ways
the Nazis were behind the burning of the Reichstag in 1933. Create a
scapegoat, rally people behind the flag, and while they are all frenzied up
and scared, take away their freedoms in the name of security, or whatever.
Don't be like sheep and believe everything the government propaganda and
press mill shove down your throat. They are counting on the millions of
sheep to follow them to the slaughter. And they will be slaughtered before
it is all over.

John
