AS a Brit, whenever I read a John Grisham book, I always have to stop and think
when he mentions a temperature - for example in one of his books, the
temperature was about thirty and an icy wind was blowing through a lookout
post. To me, thirty is hot!

Subject: [USMA 664] Limbaugh Goes Metric

I noticed that on Rush Limbaugh's program this morning, in which he was talking
about "global warming," he specifically referred to degrees Celsius. Most
reports talk about "degrees" without specifying which ones.
Limbaugh reaches an audience of 13,250,000, who may now become more used to
hearing "degrees Celsius." I dumped confusing Fahrenheit long ago and never
miss it!
