According to the service manual for 1976, first remove water supply from
back of toliet. Then remove the toliet seat and then remove the plastic plug
to gain access to the rear flange bolt. You will need a 12" extensiion and a
1/2" deep socket. The front flange bolt can be reached by depressing both
pedals and using a 1/2" box end wrench.
Of course this is for the original installed toliet in 1976.
