Can you redo the experiment with valgrind -v -v -v -d -d -d .... then do ls -l /tmp/*xxxxx* (replace xxxxx with the process id as found in the valgrind output) (this ls command should show files such as the above) and then re-do the vgdb -d -d -d help If the ls command does not show anything, then the valgrind debug log should indicate a trace related to deleting these files.
