Just shooting in the dark, but have you also updated the guest additions?.

Hi,
today Oracle released VirtualBox 5.1.14, a maintenance release of
VirtualBox 5.1, and VirtualBox 5.0.32, a maintenance release of
VirtualBox 5.0 which improve stability and fix regressions.

Everything is working. Silence is sometimes good, means there aren't
as many urgent problems as before. :o).
btw: (late) Happy New Year to all subscribers.

PS: I'm getting new subscriptions to the list every week, which I
process manually.

I have been using Vbox on a Win7-64 for years, running Ubuntu 12.4 32 as a
client. I have not done any changes to it. However, Windows has updated itself
and I have had a few unwanted restarts due to that. One day I lost all shared
disks in Vbox. I have tried to make new shares, and I have
test note.
I haven't seen any messages on this list since December, wondering if my
subscription has been bumped.
