Hello When I add a domain on my qmail+vpopmail(cdb)+qmailadmin on my RH6.2 box /home/vpopmail/bin/vadddomain -u user1 -e [EMAIL PROTECTED] domain1.com password The Output is "Segmentation fault- Core dump" I need to have a default catch-all account set while adding the virtual domain. Would appreciate any help. Regards Sumith
installation of Courier-imap
Hi. I have installed vpopmail using the vpopmail-4.9.8-1.tar.gz. It went smoothly. Now I am trying to install Courier-imap using courier-imap-1.3.6.tat.gz. I run ./configure with the --enable-workarounds-for-imap-client-bugs. This goes fine as well. But when I run make (still as a non-root user) I get the following: /home/benny/courier-imap-1.3.6/authlib/preauthvchkpw.c:73: undefined reference to `vlogauth collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[1]: *** [authvchkpw] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/benny/courier-imap-1.3.6/authlib' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 I saw someone having the same problem on the courier mailing list. But he was referred to this one. Does anyone have a clue? Oh and btw. I am installing ona Redhat 7.0 using qmail 1.0.3+patches Regards Benny.

Good morning Bill: I've installed vqadmin 1.3 and i have the same problem and i'm tired to send e-mail to vol but they didn't answer none of them. Forward and keep
Hi. Is there a way to define that mail adressed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] should be forwarded to [EMAIL PROTECTED] AND at the same time left in the inbox of [EMAIL PROTECTED]? I have tried defining 2 forwards in domain.com both refering to [EMAIL PROTECTED], one forwards to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and another forwards to [EMAIL PROTECTED] This (of course) results in qmail complaining about a mail loop :-( I have a feeling that this could be accomplished using .qmail files, but I am not sure how. Does anyone have an idea? Regards Benny.

Second, I install vpopmail/vchkpw with '--enable-qmail-dir --enable-logging=y --enable-sqwebmail-pass=y --enable-lo g-name=vpopmail --enable-tcpserver-file --enable-default-domain --enable-ip- alias-domain --enable-passwd=y'Btw, example, I do ./config-fast menix.stevencen.com and I create the virtualdomain with name 'stevencen.com', is it same or different or will cause an error? I try to sent mail to outside, and when I see the 'From' is from [EMAIL PROTECTED] and not [EMAIL PROTECTED], so I create the virtual domains name 'stevencen.com' to anticipate it. Does it make sense? Third, after vpopmail, I install vqsignup and I found one strange thing here, why the binary 'vqsignup.cgi' have 4755 mode? And I must change it to 755 mode or I can't run it from my web browser. What's wrong, my Apache directory permission wrong or the vqsignup wrong? Same thing are happen to 'qmailadmin' binary too. FYI, When I try it on RH6.2, it's work perfect include the vqsignup, qmailadmin and sqwebmail, but in RH7, I got trouble, cannot signup and cannot login as postmaster in qmailadmin. ezmlm or mailman?
ezmlm is nice, but there isn't exactly a whole lot of options for it via the web based qmailadmin. When adding a moderator, it doesn't do any email to the moderator giving them instructions on how to use the list, nor does it seem to retain their names when you go to list the operators. Anyone else getting this problem, or is it my fault? =P As for Mailman, it doesn't play nicely with qmail. For some reason when it attempts to send a message it looks for /var/lib/sendmail (which has been replaced with qmail's sendmail) and doesn't send any messages. Does qmail's sendmail wrapper use the standard sendmail parameters? `Alex
Re: ezmlm or mailman?
Yes it does. chmod +s thebin may help you. Mailman plays nicely with postfix. I would use ezmlm with qmail as that is what it is designed for and makes good use of disk IO. Sorry I don't use qmailadmin or whatever. I am just old fashioned and configure everything command linemaybe you would prefer a windows manager if that;s what your into. Mark, I do have to login as @domain.com, so I guess the domain name wasn't configured at compile. Is this a delivery or retrieval problem? If it's pop3 authentication, no users have complained so far. On the other hand, users are suspicious that not all their mail are being delivered. And for the developers of vpopmail. If .qmail-default have lots of lines with vdelivermail, the recipient of a valid popaccount receives the same number of messages of the lines in .qmail-default. eg: .qmail-default (test.com domain): |/path/to/vpopmail/bin/vdelivermail '' [EMAIL PROTECTED] |/path/to/vpopmail/bin/vdelivermail '' [EMAIL PROTECTED] |/path/to/vpopmail/bin/vdelivermail '' [EMAIL PROTECTED] I send an e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] that is a valid popaccount in this domain, then, [EMAIL PROTECTED] receives 3 copies of the same e-mail. Re: Qmail With RH 7.0
Its not that buggy, they just did things very different. There is no inetd.conf file on a redhat 7.0 machine. Redhat 7.0 uses xinetd instead. There is a directory called etc/xinetd.d that contains all of the things that are being managed. Now that I have said that, I would suggest using tcpserver as is described in live with qmail. The only reason you would want to still check for xinetd is if you already had sendmail installed. It may have used that config dir (I don't know this for sure, I did a very clean install without any mail to start with) - Original Message - From: "Dan Phoenix" [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: "Sundar" [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: "vchkpw" [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, April 04, 2001 5:56 PM Subject: Re: Qmail With RH 7.0 install 6.2 we all know 7.0 is buggy as shit.
