Hi,
Since I implemented the patch chkuser and smtp-auth on qmail 1.3 I have
rights problems.
If I keep the default setting of my vpopmail:
-rwx--x--x 1 vpopmail vchkpw 73K juin 6 2006 vchkpw
All works except smtp-auth
and when I put:
-rws--s--x 1 vpopmail vchkpw 76K juin 6 2006 vchkp
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

My original install of vchkpw is:
-rwx--x--x 1 vpopmail vchkpw 73K juin 6 2006 vchkpw
If I keep it without any changes, the smtp-auth is not working, and I then
in logs:
vpopmail user not found postmas...@xxx.net:82.233.xxx.xxx
So it seems that qmail smtp-auth conflicts with the rights of vpopma
I would not do that either. Here is my permissions with smtp-auth
ls -l /var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root qmail 168512 May 27 2010 /var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd
And here is the info on the vpopmail/bin
-rwx--x--x 1 vpopmail vchkpw 136039 May 24 2010 authvchkpw
-rwx--x--x 1 vpopmail vc
Hi Remo,
Your right are same as my on vchkpw, so it seems that this is my qmail-smtpd
problem with extra 6000
Thanks !
