Are your MySQL right well set on the MySQL server ?
I usually set those rights
GRANT select,insert,update,delete,create,drop ON vpopmail.* TO
vpopmailuser@SRV1 IDENTIFIED BY 'VPOPMAIL_PASSWORD';
(modifications right to create new accounts + logging)

He's said that vuserinfo works, so the database linkage is OK. Something else
is preventing vchkpw from working.
