I have a problem and it seems that some people have it also but no one has
an answer for it.
I've searched thru courierusers mailinglist and thru this mailing list but

For me, the dbfunctions is an essential part of vpopmail

Id check that you have it setup properly with your mySQL server, your

As for what it is being used for...well...

89 is the GID and the UID for the vpopmail user. The group is vchkpw.
Try removing -g89 -u89, so that vchkpw can run as root.

Of course you can avoid all this if the remote server is configured

Probably a better way to update vpasswd info would be to try to write it
to a new file; if successfully written, the new file can then replace
the old one. (This is how cdb files are updated.)

That line should probably be removed.
Also, the relay_template variable seems to no longer be used in that file.
