We have been very happy with the smtp-auth that is included in the
contrib directory of vpopmail. It uses vchkpw so checking against the
system users, vpopmail users in cdb, vpopmail users in SQL, all work fine.

messages with the wrong perms or ownership, and always when I manually
moved messages as root between two maildirs.
I'd double check perms in all directories of the Maildir.

Yes, I have three toasters and one admin website all using/modifing my
vpopmail database on another server.

as far as the message going out, however valias is not
processed. .qmail-sender is processed, so I have a fix. But I would
really prefer to use valias, as I nearly never have a .qmail-user file
anymore.
Do I need to get a clue or something here? I've checked google with no luck.

contents over from the old domain to the new domain and then delete the
old domain. Don't forget to check permissions on the maildirs and
check/correct any paths you might have in .qmail files.

knock out a quick wrapper for vadddomain, but a system wide alias would
be killer as all abuse mail should come to myself and the other systems
admin.
