[vchkpw] Can not open new e-mail file

Does anybody knows how to correct this problem ?

Does the directory  
/home/vpopmail/domains/dom.com.br//Maildir/tmp/ exist, and can it  
be written to by the user qmail runs as?  (I think this would be the  
user/group as indicated in the /var/qmail/users/assign file).
