I checked qmail-toaster package of Bill Shupp but it seems to work well with AUTH PLAIN and prints authentication failed with AUTH CRAM-MD5. I checked that with vpopmail-5.4.11.
I found in archive that I should use qmail-smtp-auth patch from contrib dir in vpopmail.tar package. I've installed that (but of course it doesn't work with qmail-toaster, so I've patched chkuser-2.0.8b into qmail together with smtp-auth patch from contrib. I was hoping that after that everything will work fine... and of course I was wrong ;P Again I have the same problem: auth plain works and auth cram-md5 doesn't. Any idea what can be a cause of that ? I can see only the following in maillog: vchkpw-smtp: password fail [EMAIL PROTECTED]:10.10.10.10 ps. I know that I had to change /var/qmail-outside/bin/qmail-smtpd hostname /home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /bin/true to /var/qmail-outside/bin/qmail-smtpd /home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /bin/true after changing smtp-auth from qmail-toasters' to that included in contrib. -- regards, Sylwester Biernacki <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
