Hi folks! After one complete week to get mine vpopmail working I am giving up. - Have somebody of have a working vpopmail with smtp-auth and tls? I have found so much qmail-patches and pages at google, but I did not get it working. Normal vpopmail with qmail works fine, but I want to enable smtp-auth and tls, too. Install netqmail following http://lifewithqmail.org/lwq.html, and your problem with After the new installation vpopmail could not find a /etc/tcp.smtp, so I created it manually: # touch /etc/tcp.smtp will also be gone. Maybe you'd better change the path to ~vpopmail/etc/tcp.smtp. Was it wrong what I does? I do think so ... ;) In some Howtos they talk about a checkpassword-file? Does I need it for smtp-auth? Hello All, i have a stupid problem with vpopmail and smtp-after-pop or smtp-auth. I have read a howto in the web where vpopmail is used to make smtp-after-pop or smtp-auth. I have configured my run script for pop3d and smtpd like it was configured in the howto but it doesn't work. The virual Domains are running and the pop3d is running too but i could not get smtpd running with authentification. Only people who are in registered as virtual-domain-email-user should be allowed to send email thrue my smtp server.
