try auth via smtp it
doesn't work. in the log appear errors like:
vpopmail[92902]: vchkpw-smtps: vpopmail user not found
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:12.34.45.56
where [EMAIL PROTECTED] is the user i try to authenticate...
the funny part is that vpopmail seems to work somehow cause i can get
mails via imap
I'm running vpopmail in a clustered environment with several mail
servers and a dedicated database server. vpopmail has been configured
for MySQL clustering and each of the mail servers check locally for
reads and only write to the database server. On one of the boxes it's
failing smtp
prompted to create a password, which I did.
I sent a test email from my Yahoo! account, and it got
to the mailbox just fine. However, when I attempt to
retrieve the email using any mail client, I keep
getting prompted for the username/password. The
/var/log/maillog says:
vchkpw: vpopmail user
How did you configure vpopmail? Paste in your ./configure options.
