Did you reload qmail after changing the databytes value?

Yes, i did a #qmailctl restart and a #vpopmailctl restart without success,
then a full reboot, but the error is still there :(

that's not a qmail error message.  qmail is not giving you that response.

figure out what's in the way, and fix/remove it.

 Did you reload qmail after changing the databytes value?

no need to do that.  databytes is read by qmail-smtpd which is a 'one shot' 
process
