You're right, there isn't much reason for CDB users to upgrade.  
Perhaps after the updated vdelivermail is released (I might have time 
to get it ready this Thursday), it would be worthwhile.

Most of the significant (security/reliability) changes in the past year 
are in the database backends.

It's always good to keep up to date.  If you ever need assistance,
having the most up to date version will make that easier.  There may
be fixes for efficiency, as well as bug fixes that you simply either
haven't run into yet, or aren't aware of.  On the other hand, if it's
not broken, don't fix it :)
