what exactly is in /var/qmail/rc ?

your qmail start script was somewhat hard to read, because of the
automatic wrapping of your mail client.. could you attach it to the
mail?

oh.. and I am subscribed to the list, please answer to the list only.

I am not aware of all the available graphical mail clients out there,
but I know that mutt (http://www.mutt.org/) can recognize Maildir and
mbox (and a few others).

a friend of man has mounted a qmail server , created an account for me
and send me a message i reveived by mozilla
so , why can i receive my message in my own server ?

Or you could setup a .qmail file in the user's vpopmail directory (eg,
/var/vpopmail/domains/linux-pour-lesnuls.com/deny/) to put the mail
elsewhere - so that would be done on a per-user basis.
I think your best bet would be to just IMAP or POP the messages, even if
only locally. That way you can use Mozilla (or any other mail client)
to read the mail. (of course, that requires you to setup an IMAP and/or
POP server)

yes like squirrelmail for example ?
thanks

  2. Mozilla doesn't store mail in a Maildir format, so it would not
be able to deliver to that directory.

i think you had to configure .qmail-default like
/var/vpopmail/domains/linux-pour-lesnuls.com/.qmail-default

There are a couple of things wrong here:

  1. The second argument to vdelivermail is for the catchall, so it
would only deliver mail to that directory if you sent mail to an
address that did not exist for linux-pour-lesnuls.com.

ok thanks for this help

right but which graphics clients can i use to read my message

if there's one , is there any configuration telling vpopmail to put

from/var/vpopmail/domains/linux-pour-lesnuls.com/deny/Maildir in this
client ?

thanks

yes that is the question
i just want my mails in
/var/vpopmail/domains/linux-pour-lesnuls.com/deny/Maildir
to read in a graphics client
all the solutions are welcome

thanks

There are probably many others, some googling would no doubt show.

vpopmail does not currently support putting mail in a different
location. But I do remember seeing a patch posted on this list that
allowed storing the mail in user's home directories -- if I recall
correctly.

Or you could setup a .qmail file in the user's vpopmail directory (eg,
/var/vpopmail/domains/linux-pour-lesnuls.com/deny/) to put the mail

Since vdelivermail requires 2 arguments, I assumed that it was not the
second line but the same line - simply line wrapped.

No, I do not believe Mozilla stores it's own mail in mbox or Maildir
format. But I'm not positive,... perhaps it could read one or the
other, but I doubt it...
