There is not currently a way to delete ldap and shib user groups
("automated groups") through the web frontend or XML RPC API. You can
manually delete them from the usergroup table in the database. Any
entries in other tables that use that user group will then
automatically be deleted.
I've created a JIRA issue to have automated groups added to the Manage
Groups page so that all aspects of the group other than the membership
can be modified, including deleting the group (with a warning
message). This should be added in the 2.3 release.
