even more fun, can we use conary on the vcs-pkg side without having
it on the package deployment side, that is can Debian use it to
produce .debs for consumption, can Fedora use it to produce rpms for
consumption, etc...

pristine source. Some of the problem is that Ubuntu is so far into
patch land that pulling a discrete fix out is nearly impossible. Also,

Sure, I didn't mean to state that it's an entirely black/white thing. I
do think though that it should be possible to mark one patch as
dependent upon another patch and so on, to leave breadcrumbs for a
developer to extract a particular cha
control and accomplish much of the same thing.
