Is there any easy possibility to patch the code accordingly?

I'm afraid this won't work, because VDR stops scaning for DVB devices
as soon as it hits a gap.
You might want to try changing this function:

I might try again if I can get a 9xxx micro atx motherboard at a reasonable price as people seem to have less problems with the higher end chipsets.
