Re: [vdr] XBMC with vdr-1.6.0 ??
One way thats been suggested before, and which I use, is to put xbmc and vdr-xine in a while loop inside a bash shell script and set up a button to stop vdr-xine, and a menu option in xbmc to close it down. If you search this thread you should find some info, if not I can post my stuff. -- Scott On Mon, 8 Mar 2010 19:53:15 +1300, Simon Baxter linu...@nzbaxters.com wrote: Hi Has anyone got XBMC working with vdr-1.6.0? [vdr] A/V out of sync for BSkyB channels Channel4, More4, E4, Film4
Hi, I'm looking for help with my vdr 1.6 system. I think the problem only affects BSkyB channels Channel4, More4, E4 and Film4: those channels a/v are out of sync (sometimes more, sometimes less). Recordings from those channels are also affected. I think that at some point, I didn't have this a/v sync issue, but I could be wrong. My vdr uses vdr-xine with a new xine-lib 1.2 (for vdpau) as output device. Due to the unstable nature of some of the components, I've tried exchanging parts of my output chain to their stable counterparts: xine-lib 1.1.17, ffmpeg-0.5, xine-ui-0.99.5. Also, I've tried deactivating Dynamic Ticks in the kernel. None of those measures have helped. Can anyone here point me to where the a/v sync issue is most likely to originate from? Can it be vdr itself? Does vdr process video separate from audio? From what I've read so far, xine-lib delegates MPEG TS processing to ffmpeg. ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr

Re: [vdr] Timer macros vs. filename in Edit timers
I can give you a setup option that switches between the old and the new version - if it really turns out to be necessary. Anything else would probably quickly become rocket science ,-) Klaus As already mentioned by Udo, the current behaviour often generates useless names when using search timers for series. It may be a problem of bad epg data, but the quality of the epg data is as it is. I never had any problems before with displaying the recording name. But now I have wrong names for nearly every timer. My vote is to fully revert the change or make it selectable with a setup option.
