I have no solution for your problem, but I have noticed that update channels does not work on Digiturk DVB-S2 transponders on 7°E. But it has never worked for me, and I've been using VDR with rotor since 1.7.32 (now 1.7.40). Scanning with dvbscan does show the channels and their names. I've manually added transponder info on channels.conf, but I get no channels. Channel PIDs get changed but no other channels from the transponder is received, and channel names are not updated. Here's a channels.conf entry for TRT HD, which is a FTA channel: 10845HS2:10845:HC56M2O20S1:S7.0E:3:2432=27:3435=ORJ@3;3434=tur@106:0:0:8108:126:20700:0 ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr

[vdr] [ANNOUNCE] S2API Wrapper Light 0.10 for VDR-2.0
Hi, I've uploaded the newest version of S2API Wrapper 'light', the wrapper patch to VDR that ensures DVB API compatibility to all DVB 5.0 API kernel headers. The new version fixes the DVB-S2 EPG bug that was introduced with 1.7.40, whenever the runtime kernel had DVB API 5.7 or less. To do so, the wrapper queries the API version of the running kernel, and switches to legacy code depending on that. At the same time, some of the VDR compile-time code switches depending on DVB API version of the kernel/driver headers were converted to runtime kernel switches. All in all, with the patch VDR should compile on all DVB header versions from 5.0 upwards, and all DVB features should be available as long as the runtime kernel supports them. Get it here: http://www.udo-richter.de/vdr/patches.en.html#dvb-api-wrapper http://www.udo-richter.de/vdr/patches.html#dvb-api-wrapper Cheers, Udo ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr
Re: [vdr] [ANNOUNCE] VDR version 2.0.0 released
Sorry for interrupting the party, great job for sure, but I think EPG on DVB-S2 is in fact buggy on DVB APIs 5.3 to 5.7. For these API verisons, the API 5.8 code fork replaces DTV_STREAM_ID with DTV_DVBT2_PLP_ID, and sends this command to DVB-S2 cards, even though DVB-S2 cards can hardly handle DVB-T2 commands. At least DVBAPI 5.2 will fail miserably on that, not sure if DVBAPI 5.3 to 5.7 is more tolerant in ignoring this. Suggested fix is to at least limit the DTV_STREAM_ID call for DVB-S2 to DVB API 5.8. Alternatively, you can take over my runtime check, or just drop support for DVB API 5.7 and older. Cheers, Udo ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr
