 there is one more change you did not mention:

 this breaks xineliboutput.

 Sorry, that was a typing mistake. It should have been

 Xine-plugin is broken too.
 Is it possible to provide patch for fixing plugin compiling?

The plugins I encountered (burn is affected too) had something like
if (Pid == PatPmtParser-PmtPid() )
in them. I changed those into something like
if (PatPmtParser-IsPmtPid(Pid) )

Hope that helps for fixing it yourself.

 I use 1.0.4, cvs has currently audio problems.

I use CVS with only slight glitches (sometimes the picture is not
deinterlaced properly) problems. But I must add, I only use it for
PAL-TV with vdr-1.6.0-2.

 I can't get any OSD with --hud and 185.19 driver. Can't even change

you need a compositing manager like xcompmgr or compiz.

For me it is gone, but video is not as smooth as without compositing.

 Well, how about leaving the .vdr part away altogether?

I would vote for that. Having .ts for the recording has the nice
effect that media-players and who knows what can just handle the
recordings. The other files I would consider VDR private data which
is not standardized like TS. So I do not see a point in them having
any extension at all. If they are in a .rec-directory it should be
pretty clear what a file named index contains.

[vdr] Playback stops when recording starts, vdr 1.6.0-2

2008-12-25 Thread Malte Schröder
Hello,
I am not certain when it startet (i.e. this used to work in the past),
but when I watch a vdr-recording (or dvd or whatever) and a recording
on my TT-FF DVB-S card starts the playback stops. I am using vdr
1.6.0-2 with patches MainMenuHooks, vdr-jumpplay, pluginparam and
liemikuutio applied. The kernel is 2.6.28-rc9 with current v4l-dvb
mercurial snapshot. Does anyone observe the same behaviour?

Kind regards

Well, multiproto doesn't even compile on a current (2.6.24) kernel ..

I haven't tried it myself, but sounds interesting I think.
