[vdr] vdr-1.7.19 recording issue

2011-07-21 Thread Mike Booth
I've got round the problem of noty being able to play recordings made with
vdr-1.7.19 by removing recorder.c recorder.h recording.c recording.h and
remux.c remux.h and replacing them with the same files from vdr-1.7.18.

Not very elegant but seems to work with new recordings and in the absebce of
anything else

[vdr] rotor

2010-06-24 Thread Mike Booth
the rotor plugin ( or at least version 1.4mh) can control one rotor per card.

For c-band you need a vbox to translate the diseqc commands and to provide the
36 volts to drive the actuator. Thats how I do it. costs about $40
(australian). Piece of cake. Or am I missing something?

Re: [vdr] rotor plugin puzzling question

2009-11-12 Thread Mike Booth
I think the rotor plugin is a bit of a mess now and the latest version (1.5)
is a step backwards with no transponder scan facility.

A clever friend of mine has doctored the previous version to work with
vdr-1.7.9, to still scan transponders and better still to scan C-band
transponders. Rotor switches diseqc off it appears and VDR defaults to Ku
settings so all c-band appears to be "out of range"anyone else have this
problem?

[vdr] vdr-1.7.4 and vdr-burn plugin

Does anyone have the burn plugin working with the latest developer version of
VDR.

I have managed to get it to compile by tinkering and it starts up ok but as
soon as you try to kick off a "create dvd" it crashes VDR?

Not being technically competent I am at a dead end.

Re: [vdr] Help with: vdr-1.7.1 + s2api + h264

2008-11-17 Thread Mike Booth
I spent several hours yesterday trying to get this going.

However there are so many patches around that whilst I was able to get it to
compile and run I was unable to get it into the state I wanted with plugins
etc. I think Goga77 has posted something somewhere but I couldn't find it and
in any case things seem to be a bit out of control with patches flying all
over the place.

Sorry I can't help but at least you know you're not the only one.

I am unable to compile this plugin. It fails with csmenu.c:236:

Re: [vdr] Hint needed: 3 budget cards and Astra / Hotbird

2006-11-27 Thread Mike Booth

Subject: [vdr] Hint needed: 3 budget cards and Astra / Hotbird
To: VDR Mailing List
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi,

I recently added a third budget card to my VDR which contained 2 budgets
pointing at Astra so far (using softdevice for decoding):

00:0a.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 (rev 01)
00:0f.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 (rev 01)

00:0a.0 Class 0480: 1131:7146 (rev 01)
00:0f.0 Class 0480: 1131:7146 (rev 01)

/var/log/messages says
DVB: registering new adapter (Fujitsu Siemens Activy Budget-S PCI (rev
GR/grundig frontend)).
DVB: registering new adapter (TT-Budget/WinTV-NOVA-CI PCI).

During my first runs I had connected the third LNB to one of the budgets
by just moving one sat cable to the new LNB. I could watch all channels
from Astra and Hotbird O.K. The SkyStar2 was not connected so far.

Now adding the SkyStar2 card:

00:0b.0 Class 0280: 13d0:2103 (rev 01)
00:0b.0 Network controller: Techsan Electronics Co Ltd B2C2 FlexCopII DVB
chip / Technisat SkyStar2 DVB card (rev 01)

DVB: registering new adapter (FlexCop Digital TV device).

This card is connected to a LNB pointing at Hotbird. dvbscan shows all the
channels on the respecive cards just fine. I generated the channels.conf
listing using dvbscan.

But from then on, I could either see the Astra channels or the Hotbird
channels within VDR, never both sets at the same time.  It appears as
if only card #0 is active (the Activy card), no matter which LNB is
connected to which budget card.

What am I missing? As far as I know there is no way (and no point)
in telling VDR to use cards #0 and #1 for Astra and #2 for Hotbird. Is
that a known problem between (certain versions of) budget/-ci and b2c2
cards / drivers?

Versions:

dvb-1.1.0_CVS20051019-17 (OpenSUSE 10.1) in kernel 2.6.16.13-4-default
vdr-1.4.1
softdevice-0.3.1 w/ ffmpeg-0.4.9 / DirectFB-0.9.25.1 / DFB++-0.9.25 /
linux-fusion-3.2

Any hint is appreciated!

You ca edit the CA field using the onscreen editopr to specify a card or you
can ise the SourceCaps patch. i use both on occasion.
