[vdr] Autosort-plugin

2008-12-14 Thread Rene Hertell
Hi all!

I'm using Hannos vdr-extensions repository for my Ubuntu intrepid ibex.

I have for some time now tried to set up the Autosort-plugin without any
success. According to the logs, the plugin starts, creates a bunch of
groups (I'm using the example-config). But when it reaches the last
group, vdr restarts:

Here is my log:

.

...
Dec 14 14:32:15 vdr vdr: [18668] OSD: AutoSort: Creating Group 'WrongCa'
Dec 14 14:32:15 vdr vdr: [18668] OSD: AutoSort: Creating Group 'Old
Channels'

Dec 14 14:32:15 vdr vdr: [18654] parsing
/var/lib/vdr/plugins/text2skin/Enigma/Enigma.skin
Dec 14 14:32:15 vdr runvdr: restarting VDR

I tested also by uninstalling all vdr-modules, and running vdr just with
the Autosort-plugin. Same result.

I would appreciate any ideas, help etc that could help me getting
Autosort to work on my vdr-box.

Best Regards,

René

Re: [vdr] iptv EXT channels.conf format

Thanks - sound is working since I changed the audio bitrate from 320

Thanks too for the mms stream - works, kind of. I think the
bandwidth to NZ is affecting it though :)

Thanks Simon for that tip :-) Now I managed to get some sound too, but i
had to reduce it to 96 for getting a reasonablesound @ nasatv (i just
got clipping and crap sound).

Are you using the iptvstream.sh script, or are you using the debian-way
with the config-files for each channel in /etc/vdr/plugins/iptv/vlcinput/ ?

I don't know where the problem is, but jumping to an other channel
leaves the vlc-process running, and on each iptv-channel-swap I get two
new vlc-processes (pgrep vlc). So before changing to an other stream, i
have to do a killall vlc.

This fiddling with this plugin starts to drive me nuts ;-) It looks that
it's time for me to look for a wig

Re: [vdr] Straw poll: stable version 1.6.0 now?

 So, here's the straw poll:

Should there be a stable version 1.6.0 now, based on what's in
version 1.5.14, but without DVB-S2 or even H.264 support?

I would vote for a stable release now, cause some time has passed since
the latest stable was released. Some ppl might get the impression that
VDR is dead, cause they don't dare to use the dev-version. The latest
stable (1.4.7) was released in may 2007..

I think that the current version could be good to freeze now, and then
continue with new stuff.

Unfortunately, if you do not speak Finnish, it might a bit hard to

Kiitos! Thanks!

Finnish is no problem for me :-)

[vdr] OSD-Resolution

2007-01-15 Thread Rene Hertell
Hi Guys,

I remember that someone had some kind of patch for increasing the
OSD-resoluion in VDR. I just can't find that post that mentioned about
that...

Could anyone post a link to that site that had that patch.. I would like
to try that out :-)
