It allows to set several parameters for search timers, e.g. to record films with a specific name, in a specific channel, when they run in a specific time range. This is what I use when I want to record once-a-week shows, as they sometimes are shifted a bit in starting time. As Martin said, the other very useful tool is vdradmin-am, which, besides other things, has a web frontend for the epgsearch plugin. As more and more stations at least in Germany have the nasty habit of moving TV shows to other time slots if the ratings are not satisfactory, epgsearch is a must-have. well it wasn't obvious for me, but when I pressed the left button on the date to before today, it showed a MTWTFSS, and pressing left again changed to --S (Sunday) Hope this helps. If you press 0 on a timer date/time then it changes from being a one
off recording to being weekly recurring.
Pressing left/right after that gives you lots of options, e.g.
recording Sun - Sat / Mon - Fri / Sat Sun etc
It might also be a good idea to take a look at the MANUAL:
(3) In the Timers menu, when on the Day item, the '0' key toggles between
a single shot and a repeating timer. If Day indicates a repeating timer,
the keys '1'...'7' can be used to toggle the individual days ('1' is
Monday).
