You can simply select a smaller filesize in vdr's
for new recordings?!
MaxVideoFileSize in vdr.conf.

You can change the vallue in menu-settings-recording or in setup.conf

Thanks for your answer, but i need larger files, not smaller files. I'd
like to have every recording each in one file, even if the file would be
10GB or larger.
