Well, apparently AP also uses a new technology making it technically
impossible to edit their news flashes. See news.googles.com for a
demonstration.

The glorious idea behind this is that a 30-second still frame is 
noticeable even in fast-forward mode for 1 or 2 seconds. Thats all.
