Your channel lines may have changed, even if it was only one
character. Get a new copy and test a single line again. I had to do
the same last night, because of the channel names updating...

Suggest you run it against a cut down channels.conf (with maybe just one 
channel) and with the -s switch to simulate output.


Have a look at the EPG commands created and see if they work manually 
(telnet 127.0.0.1 6419)




Works fine for me on vdr-1.7.16
