Running 'yum clean expire-cache' seems like a more efficient way to 
accomplish this.  I'd hope that in a typical "install os, install vdsm" 
scenario we wouldn't need a more heavy-handed cleanup.

Why do we need clean yum cache before installing packages during host
installation?  It could cause a ssh timeout somtimes.  On my test VM,
it
needs several minutes do download yum metatada. Please see the test
below:
