The system went live on November 15, 2014 after a rapid 6-month implementation effort. While the system is performing extremely well in production, tight business deadlines prescribed by the Affordable Care Act (ACA) require an extraordinary amount of vigilance with regard to identifying and resolving problems quickly and creatively. Additionally, given the short implementation timeframe, there is much pent-up demand for new features and functions to be introduced to the system. These new functions and releases will further add to the demand of the Operations and Maintenance team and their timely/creative resolution of problems, the need to manage downtime around a high-demand, 24x7 system, and the need to constantly and clearly communicate production issues to the larger project team. *Responsibilities: * The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) is responsible for ensuring requirements for new releases are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound), that they meet the needs and intent of Commonwealth Care Alliance and MassHealth, that there is sufficient test coverage to validate those requirements, and that the business operations teams for the two agencies are sufficiently prepared to operate the new/changed requirements once they’re deployed. The SBA is the go-to person to understand what specifically will be included in a release and how new/changed features and functions will work – and how those new/changed features and functions will impact the business operations. *Qualifications:* 1. 5-7 years business project experience (healthcare experience a plus). 2. Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle. 3. Solid understanding of the change process. 4. Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools. 5. Must be a self-starter, have a broad technical background, possess both critical-thinking and analytical skills and must be able to manage and prioritize many tasks at any given time. 6. A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process. 7. Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal. 8.
