We have an urgent requirement as follows: *Role: Business Analyst * *Job Location: Malvern, PA* *Duration: Long-term* *Exp: 6+Years* *Responsibilities: * Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience Minimum of three years of developer, business analyst, BSA, systems analysis and/or system tester experience; one year technical writing experience preferred Strong written and oral communication skills Strong analysis and problem solving skills Strong attention to detail Intermediate knowledge of the following BSA practices and concepts: Software development life cycle methodology System solution models and alternatives, including IT vendor evaluations Software capabilities and limitations, e.g., performance and design Prototyping and use case scenarios Benefits and risks of automating and changing processes Quality assurance methodology and Inspections Thorough functional requirements and documentation deliverables Intermediate knowledge of the following systems tester practices and concepts: Requirements testability Script execution (online and batch) Analyze data and determine discrepancies Determining test reusability Data set-up Requirements gathering Documenting system test plans/scripts Inspections Intermediate knowledge of one or more IT platforms: AS/400 Client/server IBM mainframe Microsoft Windows NT OS/390 UNIX Intermediate knowledge of current versions of the following products: Microsoft Office Suite Intermediate knowledge of the financial services industry, preferred Intermediate experience with Governance, Risk & Compliance processes preferred. Experience with the RSA Archer Platform is a plus Intermediate knowledge of current versions of one or more of the following testing tools and scripting languages, preferred: HP Quality Center 11.0 or newer QTP TopTeam Analyst Serena Business Manager (TeamTrack) Uses a variety of information gathering techniques (e.g., interviews, facilitated sessions) to determine system requirements and technology needs. Leads requirements gathering sessions for smaller projects independently, and under direct supervision for larger projects of greater complexity. Creates business process maps. Ensures project addresses both business and IT needs (such as security). Elicits identification of business assumptions and risks. Communicates technical issues at appropriate level for audience. Translates business needs into system and software requirements, and writes requirements documents. Reuses requirements to the highest degree feasible. Participates in Change Control Board activities to ensure system specifications are met, and to identify the risks and interface issues that may result from approval or rejection of changes. Coordinates submission of change management requests and verifies record assignment, tracking, and closure. Participates in Inspections and other client meetings throughout the project life cycle to identify scope issues. Participates in brainstorming and related client meetings. Responds to and resolves functionality problems in a timely manner. Recommends solution to manager. Has a basic understanding of client business functions, technology needs, tools, and other applications that interface with client systems. Helps to elicit the business criteria used to evaluate IT vendor products. Provides intermediate level systems testing services for software, hardware, and/or middleware. Analyzes project documentation written by other team members (includes the functional requirements and unit and integration test plans) to ensure the requirements are testable and the full range of system aspects are being tested. Reviews the technical writer's technical and user documentation to validate procedures. Translates functional requirements and technical specifications into test scripts for new development or enhancement projects for internal clients. Writes and executes comprehensive test plans, including those for functionality, volume, load/stress, performance, security, configuration, and business continuity. Supports test environments, including populating them with test data. Uses automated test tools and automates testing to the highest degree desirable. Analyzes input and output of test data. Identifies discrepancies between requirements and expected results. Documents exceptions in test log/exception tracking tool and retests. Recommends closure.
