The role below is based on the work that they would be doing if they have the AWS background. If they are more focused on Java, they will be working on a variety of projects within the team. We have a successful set of in-house data warehouses built on Oracle RDBMS technology that we use to drive our real-time portfolio management and risk processes. As a result of development over several months, we have expanded these data warehouses to include (daily) historical information about our portfolios since 2012. Even more history is being built out. The availability of this data has led to requests for several applications that make use of this historical data to display complex time-series of position, exposure and risk data. We are seeking a Senior Java developer with 10 plus years of development experiencewho can participate in the analysis, design and development of complex applications. The technical stack includes Java/J2EE, JMS, multi-threading, Web Services, Oracle, Web 2.0, JQuery and Spring. We are also seeking SQL coding skills to be able to work with the data. Solid experience with SQL or PL/SQL is required. Application is data intensive and experience in dealing with large volumes of data is required Financial services experience is preferred Strong communication skills as this person will be leading a very important track called Next Generation Performance and Attribution System. Applicant must meet MOST of these requirements: • Experience is AWS Redshift • Experience in ETL from local to amazon e.g. Talen, Data Stage • Experience in columnar database like redshift is a plus • Experience in data warehouse e.g. Oracle Exudate is a big plus • Experience in PostgreSQL Thank you!
