I recently added a Solaris 10 media server/robot host to our existing Solaris 9 master medias environment. If I recall, didn't really have any problems. NBU 5.1 MP6. Not SSO (though we use SSO on the other media servers). You may need to run /usr/sbin/inetconv to convert the /etc/services

Good Morning, We are not using NDMP, with the EMC box, but I believe that the answer will be the same. The main thing to remember about ndmp backups is that a netbackup client is not doing the backup. The EMC box is doing the backup. So you have to look at the rules that the EMC box

I was running an NDMP job this weekend that ran over one tape. The job attempted to write to another tape that happened to be write protected. At that point, the job failed with an error 84 and restarted. I had plenty of other tapes in the robot. Is this normal behavior? Doesn't netbackup

Hey guys I have a problem where a SAN split that keeps going from active to re-queueing in the Activity Monitor. The drives needed for the backup mounted fine on the server but because of the unusual activity I attempted to cancel the jobs but that did not work. I even cancelled the split and
