I have not had good results with wizards defining devices for me. I suspect that this command acts like a wizard. When I setup the devices via a script they work, and I do not have to spend valuable time figuring out why tape drives are not functioning properly.

Hello Randy What name resolution are you using? Providing all communication is done via name, using a Service like WINS / DNS (preferred) then it should not really cause a problem. If you have clients that backup via IP address only, then these will need to point to the new Server IP. Other
