I've actually done it in the lab. It's totally unsupported and the throughput
is absolute crap. Don't bother.

Just getting to grips with vmware/vcb/nbu (6.5.2) and setting up
some
test policies - we're backing up through the vc server and have the
requirement on one of the backups to exclude the D: drive on a
vmware
system. Now they don't show up as normal clienst so cant do

I would first replace the hardware and verify it's all working before you
do anything else. If it were me, I'd be hesitant to mix these two
maintenances, there's always something that comes up and this may
complicate troubleshooting. If this is 6.0 moving to 6.5.2, it should be a

Currently VCB does not support the ability to exclude drives when
backing up the full virtual machine at the vmdk level (VMware calls this
a FullVM backup). The ability to selectively backup individual drives
will be available in a future release of NetBackup.

I'm having a problem with images on DSSU occasionally failing to
duplicate/relocate to tape due to corruption. When it occurs, the backup
job is successful but the duplicate fails with a size mismatch. I'm
running NBU 6.5.2 on Solaris 10.
