Speeds are going fine from my location.
Are you able to use a download manager or anything to open up multiple streams
to try to pull it faster?

I don't recall the details as it has been some time ago. We didn't
really spend a lot of time troubleshooting. Once we saw RMAN issues
happening right after the NBU master (and all the Media Servers) had
been upgraded we decided it made sense to upgrade the clients that were
running RMAN backups

We saw lots of issues with RMAN backups until we upgrade the clients to
match the master when we went to 6.x.

I was assured that EEBs would be made available if 6.5.4 were not released by
the next DST change. Those potentially affected (6.5.2[A] and above, affects
all platforms) will probably want to open cases and request that EEB. The
Symantec bug ID you want to reference is ET1447178.

You are on the right track.
Try upgrading the clients, there have been a number of upgrades to the

Has anyone used the drive name rules in NBU 6.5 with the wizard? I set them in
the wizard, create the rule, and run the wizard and yet the rule for the drive
name does not get picked up when the drive is created.

Hi all
Just a quick one for confirmation, I upgraded an environment weekend
just gone from 5.1MP6 to 6.5.1.
Our DBA's are informing me that they are having issues launching "jbpSA"
from the oracle clients.
Clients are still at 5.1 MP6 so I guess this is to be expected due to
version incompatibil
No it isn't the C++ version. Most windows servers do not have C++
installed on them. The server works ok now that it had a complete
uninstall reboot and a new install. There must have been a corrupt
registry entry or file. That's what I get for doing remote installs on
patches.

Hi!
I don't know if its supported or not.
But if all NBU-clients are VM's why would you then need BMR?
Assuming you mean VMware-virtualized.. a VCB Imagelevel would be sufficient
wouldn't it?
