You can disable mpxio on a per-port basis instead of globalafter all you do
have disk attached and may want/need multipathing to the disk. Use a separate

Yes...the biggest problem is that the documentation for how to set it up is not
very good. Once you set it up right, it is pretty easy and works well. I will
see if we have an updated documentation for set up and get it posted. Couple
of questions. What platform are you trying to use for you
I have successfully gotten it working with a IIS 6.0 Web Server and a Solaris
10 Client. So far it looks pretty sweet, I'm actually gearing up for a full out
deployment of it soon now that I have my test case working.

The two are vastly different. NBU LiveUpdate probably could not co-exist on a

contain information about the other product (i.e. a NBU LU Server would not
contain information on SAV and vice-versa). Because there are c

Is anyone using this to upgrade client agents. All things I've seen/read are
negative about the product. We wasted many hours trying to get it to work on

don't want to go down the LU road again without the possibility

Nope.
Vault only has the (relatively clumsy) menu interface, no proper CLI.
You could go parse /usr/openv/netbackup/db/vault/vault.xml, if you like, but
that's about it. (I'd recommend not modifying that file by hand, incidentally.)

I know I can get the information using vltadm but that takes several
steps and just writes to the outout to the screen.

I am in an environment with a large number of machines each requiring
backups for different purposes. As each machine is different in some
way it has resulted in nearly 300 policies. Each one backup up one or
two directories.
I wanted to find out how other people are getting round this and

Bpgetconfig/bpsetconfig is what you seek, if you didn't have the
requirement of running it from a unix server you could also very easily
script pushing it from a Windows box assuming you or the person
executing the script had admin rights. It's just modifying a registry
