Jorge !
That was my email :-))
I found the same technote, but when you close down and restart, the same
problem appears !
I was told it was a "feature", so I have not delved into it too much.
It is a small annoyance, but it never happened in 5.1!
When I get time, I will try to review this again
Check the BPTM logs under \Veritas\NetBackup\Logs\BPTM (make the folder
if not present)
Logging verbose can be set on the Master Server

Depends on the error, the source of it, the platform and the
NetBackup version. I've talked offline to half a dozen people about
this in the last week; everybody has their own special places to

I'm working on a little exercise to determine what it costs us to backup
a TB of data (or whatever other size) and, being a computer geek and not
a finance major, I'm struggling with it a little bit. Given the amount

Hi Judy,
Yes, I am aware of that, this is a brand new host and the start/stop
scripts were not installed on it (nor the registry hack). If anyone has
backed up a 6.5.4 w/DFSR I would be interested to hear how it was done,
thanks.
Justin.

I have not gone to 6.5.4 yet, but I know you have to UNDO what you did
with 6.5 to get dfs to work.
So take away your scripts that stop and start dfs and take away the
stuff you put in with regedit

Why does a bundle intended for RedHat would have comments about Suse?
Anyway what you need is the compat-libstdc++-296 package. (Note that in
this name the 296 is actually part of the package name rather than the
version - there will be version information after the package name.)
You can install

Hi,
Has anyone gotten DFSR backups to work with 6.5.4?
When the backups run and it tries to backup the Shadow Copy Components:\
which, in-turn contains the DFSR data, it sits there forever until the job
times out.
Has anyone experienced this issue and/or any workarounds/microsoft
hotfixes?

It's true, you do need to install this library and it's documented in
the release notes. If you have yum configured you can use yum to install
the lib.
