Michael is right, The oracle agent comes as part of the netbackup 7 client now. One word of warning though, running the oracle link (on unix located in /usr/openv/netbackup/bin) requires any databases to be down or the link won't work. I'm not sure if there is a sample rman script in the

I've only found this true on older versions of Oracle. In fact, I ran a 6.5 oracle_link for an 11.1 home just a week or so ago with a DB up and running and after trying a backup that went clunk because the link had not yet been made for this Oracle home. Backups ran fine immediately after
