One of the things I've seen as a problem that might not be detected by
NBCC is any inconsistencies in the global device database. Take a look
through vmglob -listall to see if all of the entries are valid. I.e. no
tape drives listed for media servers that no longer exist, no media
server entries
chunk to tape drive 2.
So yes, there is overhead since it is the same bptm process writing to 2
different drives. I've seen 10% in some cases, and maybe as high as 15-20%
in others... YMMV.
