If you have no barcode rules defined, then that means when you put a new tape
into the library it goes directly into the NetBackup pool and Not into the
Scratch pool as desired. This means that when you are loading tapes into the

I have come into a NBU 6.5.3 environment as a new backup admin. For
some unknown reason

I have come into a NBU 6.5.3 environment as a new backup admin. For some
unknown reason they had no barcode rules defined, so all of the 8-character
barcodes are getting the last 6 characters for the media database. Hence a
