[Veritas-bu] DC 48v disk storage

Is it common that Disk storage systems are able to use DC 48 volt power, or is this rare? When I ask about DC I either get a flat out no or it is like I've knocked the sales people off guard and they have to get back to me on that. Has anybody else run into this? Dustin D'Amour Wireless
