supposed to allow recovery of the database to an alternate host. This is

The dhost parameterjust restores the files from the catalog backup to a host other than the one you're running bprecover on. So you might have files other than the master catalog one the catalog backup tape, such as a media server's voldb, or even some non-NetBackup files. I used to backup several

what I understand is, if you use have a Catalog Backup Tape, you
can use BPRECOVER onto the new Server, providing the Server name is
correct.
There is an unofficial method to recovering the data to a
different server, but not sure if you want to go down this route, and I
